This place at The Forks is seriously one of my top picks for lunch! The food is crazy flavourful and delicious. I always end up getting the eggplant curry with curry noodles combo, or the kothu roti (extra spicy with some eggplant curry thrown in). Trust me when I say, it's sooo good! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
Great customer service. We were visiting from our of town and wanted to try a different cuisine. This hit the spot. There was a variety of options and the chicken was spicy exactly as I wanted. We had the satay chicken and the deviled chicken.
I was just exploring the Forks and I bumped into the Taste of Sri Lanka. I had the curry chicken, egg plant and the Roti. Its was so delicious. The flavors, the spices and the sauce was literally the best I have had in a long time. The workers were very professional, polite and attentive. Very amazing customer service. I have had alot of Indian food in the past. This is the first time I have had food from Sri Lanka. Its very similar yet the spices used were different. I would definitely come back here again when ever I visit winnipeg.
Taste of Sri Lanka is the best restaurant at The Forks! My favourite is their eggplant and it is to die for. The staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable. Definitely check this place out if you want your stomach full and tastebuds happy!
The Sri Lankan cuisine at the Forks Market Winnipeg was a delight to experience. The taste of their food is really authentic and they have a wide variety of food on their kiosk. I had dinner both days of my Winnipeg stay at the Taste of Sri Lanka. Their portions are huge and would definitely recommend the butter chicken. The style of their preparation is amazing. Both days i wanted to taste their noodles but it was so in demand that it went out of stock each day. The staff is friendly and approachable. Would definitely recommend all Sri Lankan cuisine lovers in Winnipeg to visit and taste their food
Holy smokes ! I wasn't very hungry and just went for a veggie roll... My tastebuds are still enjoying the spicy zing of this snack. Wow! So good!! And on top of that, the gentleman serving me could not have been nicer ! I want to go back with a bigger appetite!
Travelled almost 2000km to taste at this amazing place. Hands down the best Sri Lankan food in Canada. We got the chicken curry with rice and devil chicken with noodles and rice. The devil chicken and chicken curry are top notch. Spicy, flavourful and authentic. Don’t mind travelling this far once again and pay more to taste these one more time. Highly recommend!!
